Jermaine Smith, 38, of Sherwood Drive in Jacksonville was charged Jan. 19 by the Jacksonville Police Department with felony possession of firearm by a felon.He is accused of possessing a Winchester .22 caliber long rifle when previously convicted of felony third degree possession of marijuana in May 2001 in Texas, warrants state.Bond of $5,000 was set.
