A Jacksonville hotel owner has voluntarily agreed to close the facility after two fires and findings of unpermitted work that increased the chance of a fire spreading.The Red Carpet Inn, located at 701 N. Marine Blvd., will shut down and all patrons staying will have to leave, according to a press release from Jacksonville Public Safety.
