A man had his first appearance in court Wednesday for a crime allegedly committed almost a year ago.Alphonso Jammal Hill, 32, of Bynum Avenue has been in and out of jail since 2002 on charges of assault, trespassing, robbery and numerous possession and selling drug charges, according to the N.C. Department of Public Safety. His most recent incarceration was from Sept. 10, 2015, to Tuesday of this week for possessing a controlled substance. [...]
