A Hampstead man was charged with assaulting an officer in North Topsail Beach over the weekend.Daniel Mark Ogden, 59, of Twin Oaks Drive in Hampstead, was arrested on Sunday by the North Topsail Beach Police Department and charged with felony assaulting a law enforcement officer with serious injury and misdemeanor resisting a public officer.Ogden is accused of assaulting officer J.
