A Jacksonville man accused of killing a puppy had his first appearance in court Friday morning.Keven Walters, 22, of Oakwood Court in Jacksonville, was charged Thursday by Onslow County Animal services with felony cruelty to animals.Walters is accusing of beating a 3-month-old Belgian Malinois-mix dog in the ribs on June 11, which resulted in his death, according to warrants.The alleged abuse was reported to animal services on June 12 by Animed Veterinarian Hospital [...]
