A Jacksonville man accused of killing his mother returned to Onslow County shortly after 5 p.m. Monday, according to Onslow County Sheriff's Office Maj. Chris Thomas. Shahid Kornegay, 38, is accused of killing his mother, Clara Bell Kornegay, 61.
